| The
writer Aldous Huxley was one of Krishnamurti’s closest
friends during the war years and beyond. He is famous for
writing Brave New World, Antic Hay, Those Barren Leaves,
and The Doors of Perception. Huxley actually stayed
in the Huxley Room for several weeks at a time. Huxley urged
Krishnamurti to write about his conversations with the many
people who came to visit him in Ojai. The result was the Commentaries
On Living series. Krishnamurti himself lived in this room
for a while, although he preferred to live at Pine Cottage.
